Comment s'y rendre ?

Norris Embry was a unique and talented artist, a student of Oscar Kokoshka, who, at Robert Duncan's instigation, moved to San Francisco in the early 1950s and lived with Duncan and Jess for four months.

All three shared a passion for colored pencils, which they all used, to varying degrees, in their work.

By many accounts, Embry was a difficult person to live with. He was featured in one of Jess's greatest paintings, Feignting Spell, in which the strained relationship between the three roommates is evident.

This exhibition traces the career of this astonishing artist from his beginnings to the present day.
