SONIC RESONANCE ANJA MUSURA

SONIC RESONANCE, opening on June 13th at LCG_ARTLAB, marks the culmination of Anja Musura’s one-year residency in Berlin. Developed between February 2024 and May 2025, the project explores the translation of sound into visual and spatial form—framing sound as a medium of invisible energy, resonance, and transformation.
 

Installed in the front room, the works take shape as minimalist, monochrome compositions derived from field recordings across the Berlin cityscape. Engaging a synesthetic process, Musura transposes auditory input into visual language—revealing the subtle dynamics between stillness and movement, symmetry and disruption, presence and void. The audio component of the exhibition was developed in collaboration with Berlin-based DJ and sound artist Carly Zeng, whose contribution enhances the immersive, vibrational quality of the space.
 

In the back room, the installation ECLIPSE forms a central experiential moment within the Sonic Resonance series. Inspired by the astronomical event, ECLIPSE merges light and sound in an atmospheric environment that holds the viewer in a state of perceptual suspension. Calm yet intense, silent yet charged, the work unfolds as a sensory threshold—where disruption signals renewal, and the unknown becomes a site of potential.
 

Presented as part of the 48 Stunden Neukölln festival (June 27–29, 2025), the exhibition invites visitors into a liminal space shaped by resonance, intuition, and the fleeting architectures of visual sound.
